Ahead of parliamentary elections RA Investigative Committee reminds

Ahead of parliamentary elections to be held on December 9 RA Investigative Committee reminds;

Liability is envisaged by RA Criminal Code for breach of providing the citizens and parties with the voters list, not providing or not publishing them, as prescribed by law by the official in charge of the compilation of the voters lists which is punished with a fine in the amount of 1000 to 1500 minimal salaries.

Liability is also envisaged for forgery through the breach of the procedure of compilation of voters list by the official in charge of the compilation of the voters lists which is punished with imprisonment for 3 to 5 years depriving of the right to hold certain positions or to be engaged in certain activities for the term of up to three years.

A person is subject to criminal liability for hindering the proxy, electoral commission member, observer or Mass Media representative to get acquainted with electoral documents, as prescribed by law, for not giving the copies, excerpts of records of electoral commission.  

The mentioned act is punished with imprisonment for the term of 3 to 5 years.
