Third Joint Board Session of Investigative Committees of Three Countries Held in Republic of Belarus

On May 17, 2018 the third joint board session of the Investigative Committees of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation was held in the city of Gomel of the Republic of Belarus and the Chairmen of the Investigative Committees of the mentioned three countries Aghvan Hovsepyan, Ivan Noskevich, Alexander Bastrykin take part in it.  

Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, adviser to the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Gomel region also take part in board work.

A wide frame of issues on legal cooperation and experience exchange was discussed at the session.

Greeting the participants the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan stated that during the session the results of the joint work and perspectives of cooperation development will be discussed. “Joint sessions contribute to the efficiency of pretrial proceeding through experience exchange which gives an opportunity to operatively get over, solve the problems arising during the cooperation of international-legal cooperation. I am confident that the proposals developed in the result of the board session will be helpful and will contribute to the improvement of law enforcement practice of the investigative committees of the three countries»,-said A. Hovsepyan.  

The RA IC Chairman also made a speech on strategy of efficient organization of preliminary investigation in information society, presented existing problems and made offers. The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus expressed an opinion that the introduction of informative technologies in the criminal procedure of the three counties will give an opportunity to have a constructive dialogue and take the next step on the way of optimization of material costs.

In the result of today’s discussions a number of documents were signed to enhance the efficiency of interdepartmental cooperation.
