Board of RA Investigative Committee


By the order of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee dated 24 October, 2014 a board was formed in the RA Investigative Committee which is aimed at providing consideration of more urgent and actual issues of the activity of the RA Investigative Committee, as well as their quick and appropriate response. The board is a consultative body the jurisdiction of which is the consideration of any issue related to jurisdiction of the Investigative Committee requiring collegial solution.

The procedure of the activity of the board was confirmed by the order of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee dated 14 November, 2014 based on the Points 3 and 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 12 of the RA Law “On RA Investigative Committee”.

The works of the board of the RA Investigative Committee are organized through sessions.

The members of the board of the RA Investigative Committee were confirmed by the order of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee dated 1 October, 2018. According to it the board has a head and 9 members. The head of the board is the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, officio members are Deputies Chairman of the Investigative Committee, the head of General Department of Control over Activity of Territorial Investigative Departments of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee, the head of General Department on Special Assignments, Organizational-Analytical Activity and Criminalistics, as well as other officials of the Investigative Committee appointed by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee.

The board session is chaired by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee or one of the Deputies Chairman of the Investigative Committee by his instruction. The board session is valid if more than the half of its members takes part in it. Board sessions can be close or open.

The decisions of the board are made through simple majority of votes. The head’s vote is decisive, in case the votes are equal.

The secretary of the board session of the RA Investigative Committee is the investigator for particularly important cases of the Department of Organizational-Analytical Activity of the General Department on Special Assignments, Organizational-Analytical Activity and Criminalistics, second class councilor of justice Gayane Kolya Gasparyan.
