On December 18, 2020 at 15:10 a call was received from a citizen informing that there was a burnt body inside the former boiler house located at 51, Shahumyan Street, Armavir.
Through preliminary investigation initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that from 16 to 17 December, 2020 in the house rented by 44 year-old resident of Shirak located in Mashtots Street, Armavir, for the purpose of deprivation of life, the latter hit the man hosted by him on his head and face causing bodily injuries incompatible with life. Then 44 year-old man took the body to the above mentioned boiler house adjacent to his house where he tried to destroy the body and traces by burning.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 44 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
