Investigation is conducted in the Third Garrison Investigative Unit to find out the circumstances of serviceman, Sergeant Shamkhal Petrosyan’s sustaining injury.
On May 13, 2018 at about 22:35 in the result of the shots fired by the enemy towards the combat base of protection area of the unit N serviceman, Sergeant Shamkhal Petrosyan sustained a firearm injury at the abdomen region. Sh. Petrosyan was taken to military hospital where he was operated on. His health condition is estimated to be severe.
A criminal case was initiated in the Third Garrison Investigative Unit on murder attempt out of motives of national, race or religious hate or fanatism.
Preliminary investigation is under way.
