A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of the resident of Vanadzor Volodya Kochinyan. In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures taken in the framework of the criminal case a number of circumstances of murder were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.
On November 19, 2017 a call was received from «Vanadzor Medical Center» CJSC informing that at 01:05 the body of the resident of Vanadzor Volodya Kochinyan, born in 1981, with cut-pierced wound on the abdomen was taken to medical center.
The investigatory-operative group headed by the Head of the RA IC Lori Regional Investigative Department, Colonel of Justice Tatul Shushanyan immediately left. A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code, a plan of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures was worked out to reveal the crime.
In the result of urgent actions it was found that 36 year-old man had been inflicted bodily injury incompatible with life on November 19, 2017 at about 00:30 during the argument that took place at «Chimprom» factory located at 2 Vardanats, Vanadzor. Inspection of the site was conducted, a number of people were interrogated and other procedural actions were conducted. As a result, actual data were obtained on identity of the person having committed the alleged crime; he is also a resident of Vanadzor, 24 years old.
Due to joint actions of the employees of Lori Regional Investigative Department and the Police the young man turned himself to the investigative body. The suspect was arrested.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case, including the motive of murder.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
