A criminal case was initiated in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on breach of traffic rules and operation of means of transportation which caused the death of a 40 year-old woman.
According to initial data, on October 15, 2015 at about 14:00 at the crossroad of Melqumov and Shiraz Streets of Yerevan the truck “ZIL 4502” driven by G. Sargsyan ran over the pedestrians, residents of Karmravan village, spouses Kamo Karapetyan born in 1970 and Hasmik Khosrovyan born in 1975. The 40 year-old woman died of injuries she had sustained, the husband was taken to a medical center.
A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 2 of the Article 242 of RA Criminal Code.
Investigation is conducted. Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to find the causes of the accident.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
