5 persons charged in the framework of the criminal case on the incident that took place in the yard of RA Ministry of Transport and Communication

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the incident that took place in the yard of the RA Ministry of Transport and Communication is ongoing in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

Taking the public interest into consideration we inform that on May 24 charge was pressed against V. Mkrtchyan arrested on May 21 according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. On the same day the investigator submitted a motion to the court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him which was confirmed.
 

It was earlier informed that according to initial data on May 16, 2016 at about 16:30 an argument took place in the yard of the RA Ministry of Transport and Communication during which violence was used against 5 persons inflicting bodily injuries of different gravity. Forensic medical examinations were commissioned to find the gravity of injuries. As of May 25 the result of forensic examination commissioned against one of the injured – H. Petrosyan was received according to which the injuries inflicted to him were heavy – threatening to life.
 

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated on the incident the motive of the argument was found, 6 persons involved in the argument were identified, their actions were personalized.
 

As of May 25 in the framework of the criminal case charge was pressed against 5 persons and detention was used as a pretrial measure against them.  A decision was made to arrest one more person – Arsen Karakhanyan the performance of which was tasked to the relevant subdivisions of the police.
 

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
