A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of mother and son Sirik Hakobyan and Sargis Hakobyan.
 

On June 20, 2016 at 15:20 a call was received informing that Sargis Hakobyan, who lives in the district “Fountains” of Gyumri, and his mother do not respond and their cabin smells unpleasant.
 

Through inspection of the site in the cabin 228/268, Gyumri the bodies of the residents of the same cabin Sirik Hakobyan, born in 1936, and Sargis Hakobyan, born in 1960, were found.
 

Necessary measures were taken in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find the circumstances of death, forensic medical examinations were commissioned.
 

On June 21 medical certificates of death were received according to which mother and son’s death was caused by violence used against them. Particularly, Sirik Hakobyan and Sargis Hakobyan’s death was caused by acute disturbance of vital functions of brain caused by close blunt craniocerebral injury. Besides the mentioned injuries, fractures of the left 5-6^th ribs were found at S. Hakobyan.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. An investigatory plan has been worked out, working hypotheses have been put forward, necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to find the circumstances of two persons’ death, to identify the person (persons) having committed the apparent crime.
