Within the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee murder committed in Vardashen Street was disclosed. The person having committed the alleged crime was arrested.

It was earlier informed that on October 22, 2019 a call was received from a citizen informing that murder had been committed in one of the apartments located in Vardashen Street.

In the result of measures taken at the scene the body of the resident of the mentioned apartment, a woman, born in 1955, with a cut-lacerated wound on the neck as well as numerous cut-pierced wounds on the chest and abdomen was found.

In the result of necessary investigatory actions conducted as well as operative-intelligence measures taken within the criminal case initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department a number of circumstances of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1979.

The latter was arrested on suspicion of murdering 64 year-old woman and gave self-incriminatory testimony.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
