Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder committed after funeral repast in Dilijan was completed in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against Dilijan resident, born in 1978.

The resident of Dilijan Artur Yeganyan, born in 1990, sustained bodily injuries incompatible with life on August 5, 2017 during the quarrel that took place after the funeral repast in Dilijan.

It was found out that other people also had sustained bodily injuries during the same quarrel.

A criminal case was initiated in Dilijan Investigative Division of Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee and in the result of investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume a number of circumstances significant for the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Dilijan, born in 1978.

Particularly, through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that on August 5, 2017 at about 18:30 after the funeral repast a row erupted between A. Yeganyan and 40 year-old man which turned into brawl. During the incident the 40 year-old man stabbed A. Yeganyan on the left lumbar region with a sharp cutting-piercing item. As a result the latter died of bodily injuries incompatible with life he had sustained.

It was found out that during the quarrel 40 year-old man hit A. Yeganyan's father – Artak Yeganyan on different parts of his body with a sharp cutting-piercing item, as well as a blunt item. He also hit another person with a blunt item.

On the base of sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 40 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104, the Articles 117 and 118 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
