Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on infliction of heavy bodily damage to 45 year-old resident of Yerevan was completed in the First Investigative Division of Kentorn and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Through the factual data obtained through investigation it was grounded that on March 3, 2022 at about 02:00 in the chat room near the “Skate board” field of “Oghakadzev” park of Yerevan 39 year-old resident of Vayots Dzor argued with 45 year-old resident of Yerevan about domestic matters. During the argument 39 year-old man willfully hit 45 year-old man with a fist on the left part of the neck after which the resident of Yerevan, using a trick, pushed 39 year-old man to the ground. Then the latter got up, taking the knife out of the jacket’s pocket, pushed 45 year-old man to the ground. Then he sat on his abdomen and with the intent to inflict bodily damage, stabbed 45 year-old man on the left part of the chest causing heavy bodily damage threatening to life after which he fled.

Later, with the implementation of the data obtained in the result of investigative actions and cooperation with the inquest body 39 year-old resident of Vayots Dzor was found and brought to the investigative body.

On the base of the obtained sufficient data charge was pressed against the latter according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA former Criminal Code which corresponds to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 166 of RA current Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed. The prosecutor approved of the bill of indictment and the materials of the criminal proceeding were sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
