As a result of large-scale investigative actions, including searches conducted in the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding on materially motivating numerous people and money laundering in particularly large amount, investigated in the Department for Investigation of General and Election-Related Crimes of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee, numerous cases of giving and taking electoral bribe by numerous people were disclosed. With regard to them a criminal proceeding was initiated according to the Part 2 of the Article 218 and the Part 2 of the Article 219 of RA Criminal Code. 

In the course of the preliminary investigation it was found out that "Strong Armenia" MP candidate A.E., in prior agreement with a group of individuals, paid electoral bribes of 100.000-500.000 AMD to more than 100 voters in Artashat community on the condition that they vote for "Strong Armenia" alliance in the regular elections of the RA National Assembly to be held on June 7, 2026. In some cases, the mentioned voters, acting as part of a group with other voters, with prior agreement received election bribes in various amounts of money. 

By the investigator’s instruction, more than 40 individuals were arrested by the police officers of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs and brought to the investigative body on suspicion of receiving election bribes.

Investigative and other procedural actions are conducted to find others who have received electoral bribes and to apply adequate criminal and legal measures against them.
