Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on official negligence by the employees of Vanadzor forestry branch of “Hayantar” SNCO was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.  

In the course of the preliminary investigation apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that H.Gh., forester of Vanadzor forestry branch of “Hayantar” SNCO, in the period between June 1, 2021 and June 24, 2022 did not periodically attend work, but received wages. As a result, he willfully swindled the amount of the salary in large amount – 1 million 515 thousand 805 AMD. 

Besides, A.Y., chief forester of Vanadzor forestry branch of “Hayantar” SNCO, failed to exercise proper supervision over forester H.Gh.'s attendance at work, as a result of which between May 18 and June 25, 2022, various types of trees were unlawfully cut down in the forest compartments. Damage in the amount of 2 million 877 thousand AMD was caused to the state. 

By the prosecutor’s decision, public criminal prosecution was initiated against H.Gh. according to the Part 1 of the Article 446 and the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 255 of RA Criminal Code, against A.Y. according to the Part 1 of the Article 446 of RA Criminal Code. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
