In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of murder of Yerevan resident Armen Surmenelyan, born in 1960, were found.
 

The man’s body with cut-pierced injuries on the left part of the chest was found on January 20, 2017 in one of the flats in Tumanyan Street, Yerevan.
 

According to preliminary investigation data, A. Surmenelyan was inflicted bodily injuries incompatible with life while hosted in his acquaintance’s house. During the argument over domestic affairs the latter stabbed A.Surmenelyan twice with a knife on the left part of the chest. The latter died of bodily injuries he had sustained.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against the accused, it was sufficed.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
