A criminal case was initiated in Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of the resident of the same region, Gayane Grigoryan according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.

According to initial data, on August 25, 2015 at about 22:00 the resident of Aragatsotn region, G. Galoyan in his flat argued with his wife G. Grigoryan on domestic affairs. During the argument he stabbed at the right part of his wife’s chest. The latter died on the way to hospital.

Inspection of the scene was conducted and the knife, which was the tool of the crime, was found. Forensic examination of the body was appointed. G. Grigoryan was found an injured party.

A number of urgent investigatory actions are conducted to provide the objective and comprehensive examination of circumstances of the case, witnesses were interrogated.

G. Galoyan was arrested on suspicion of murder and was interrogated. During the interrogation he gave detailed testimony on the case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
