Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on murder of 36 year-old resident of Armavir region committed on June 23, 2022 was completed on 5 defendants.
 

Through the factual data obtained in the result of large-scale investigative and procedural actions conducted in the Department of Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of the General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee it was grounded that 33 year-old man, known with a nickname “Tokhmakhtsi Yuro”, reached agreement with 37 year-old resident of Yerevan and a group of persons on murder of 36 year-old resident of Armavir. Within the agreement procuring mobile cards, items and devices, improvised explosive device necessary for the committal of the crime, in the morning of June 22, 2022 33 year-old man rented a car of “Toyota Camry” make from his acquaintance. On the same day at 03:14 the members of the criminal group drove to Paraqar settlement of Armavir region in that car. They drove in various streets until 04:34 passing by 36 year-old man’s house for three times. Seeing his brother and the latter’s friend they delayed the placing explosive and other devices.
 

In order to make the implementation of their intention easy and to exclude the further disclosure of the crime, on June 23, 2022 at about 02:00 unidentified members of the group stole the registration number of the car of “Mercedes Banc” make parked in the yard of one of the houses of the 3d district of Masis town and fixed it on the rented car of “Toyota Camry” make.
 

On the same day at 03:42 37 year-old resident of Yerevan together with 33 year-old man left for Paraqar settlement in the above-mentioned car illegally transporting with them the explosive device as well as the devices necessary to detonate it and control the victim’s movement.
 

At 04:22 getting to the mentioned place the mentioned two men parked the car nearby the victim’s house, walked to the victim’s house where they installed the improvised explosive device under the front left seat of the car of “VAZ 21214” make owned by the victim, parked in the street in front of the latter’s house. In order to control 36 year-old man’s movement and to commit the murder without fail, with an adhesive tape they fixed the specified remote video surveillance device on the metal pillar located at 20 meters’ distance from the mentioned house after which they returned to the gathering place of the criminal group in the same car.  
 

The members of the criminal group gaining access to a remote video surveillance device located near the victim's house, controlled the entrance area of the latter’s house. On June 23, 2022 at about 11:00 when 36 year-old man left the house and drove to Nairi Street in his car, after driving for about 100 meters, the members of the criminal group activated the explosive device installed in the mentioned car by remote control. As a result of the explosion, the man received blast injuries and thermal burns incompatible with life and died after being taken to medical center.
 

On the base of the obtained sufficient facts charge was pressed against the person known as “Tokhmakhtsi Yuro” and 37 year-old resident of Yerevan according to the Points 6, 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 and the Part 2 of the Article 235 of RA former Criminal Code which corresponds to the Points 7 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 and the Part 2 of the Article 335 of RA current Criminal Code. Charge was pressed against three more members of the criminal group for supporting the criminal acts committed by the above-mentioned two men. All the mentioned defendants were detained.
 

Preliminary investigation on their part was completed and the materials of the criminal proceeding, with the bill of indictment, were sent to court.
 

Preliminary investigation on the other members of the criminal group is ongoing.
