Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on A.P.’s murder committed on June 9, 2020, by a group of people, in a way dangerous for other people’s life, in the yard of May 9 Street, Yerevan, was completed in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.

As it was earlier informed, on September 29, 2021, the criminal proceeding with respect to 7 accomplices, with the bill of indictment was sent to court, and search was declared against A.M., the person who had assisted in murder. 

On June 25, 2026 A.M. was found by the Police officers of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs and was brought to the investigative body. 

Through the latter’s personal search a homemade smoothbore firearm in the form of a pistol with limited destructive capability, and cartridges classified as ammunition were found and confiscated. 

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.M. according to the Points 6 and 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-104 of RA Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003, and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
