Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on the obstruction of the election campaign of the "Civil Contract" Party by a group of supporters of the "Strong Armenia" Alliance was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. 

In the course of the preliminary investigation factual data were obtained on the allegation that a group of supporters of "Strong Armenia" Alliance, having learned in advance of the location designated for the "Civil Contract" Party's election campaign, with the intent to obstruct the campaign, organized and carried out actions that interfered with the normal conduct of the party's election campaigning.

Particularly, on May 16 at the entrance to the settlement of Norashen, a group of supporters of the alliance obstructed the normal conduct of the "Civil Contract" Party's election campaign by blocking the roadway with vehicles.

In addition, on the same day, in the square located at the entrance to Andranik Street in the settlement of Metsavan, a group of supporters of the alliance played loud music on the roadway and used violence against participants in the "Civil Contract" Party's election campaign, thereby obstructing the normal conduct of the campaign.

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding, by the supervising prosecutor’s decision, public criminal prosecution was initiated against 13 individuals according to the Point 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 211 of RA Criminal Code. 
Administrative supervision, bail and absence ban was applied as a pretrial measure against them. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was referred to the supervising prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
