In the course of the preliminary investigation of the crimial proceeding investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, factual data were obtained on the allegation that during 2022 Z.M., V.Kh., and S.Y., who were engaged in the purchase and sale of meat products, acquired forged veterinary certificates from V.B., who was engaged in illegal entrepreneurial activities, according to these certificates, the cattle had allegedly undergone veterinary and sanitary inspection at a slaughterhouse and had subsequently been processed at the same slaughterhouse. The forged certificates were then used in the sale of the aforementioned meat products.

By the supervising prosecutor’s decision, public criminal prosecution was initiated against S.Y., V.Kh., and Z.M. according to the Part 1 of the Article 457 of RA Criminal Code. 

Subsequently, a decision was made not to initiate public criminal prosecution against V.B. on the grounds of his death. Public criminal prosecution had been initiated against him for sale, production, and use of forged documents (10 counts), as well as for engaging in illegal entrepreneurial activities (8 counts).

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was referred to the supervising prosecutor.
