During the first half of 2026, the subdivisions of the Investigative Committee received 41,250 crime reports (compared to 35,357 in the first half of 2025, an increase of 5,893, or 16.6%). Of these, criminal proceedings were initiated on 32,472 cases (compared to 27,847 in the first half of 2025, an increase of 4,625, or 16.6%), while criminal proceedings were not initiated on 8,778 cases (compared to 7,512 in the first half of 2025, an increase of 1,266, or 16.8%).

In the reporting period preliminary investigation of 58.820 criminal proceedings were conducted in the subdivisions of the Investigative Committee (compared to 56.814 in the first half of 2025, an increase of 2.006 or 3.5%). 

32.854 of the mentioned 58.820 criminal proceedings were initiated in the first half of 2026 (compared to 28.042 in the first half of 2025, an increase of 4.812 or 17.2%).

During the first half of 2026, 9,910 criminal proceedings were referred to court (compared to 6,111 in the first half of 2025, an increase of 3,799, or 62.2%). 11,078 criminal proceedings were terminated (compared to 12,858 in the first half of 2025, a decrease of 1,780, or 13.8%). 9,154 criminal proceedings were registered (compared to 9,189 in the first half of 2025, a decrease of 35, or 0.4%). 4,499 criminal proceedings were consolidated with other proceedings (compared to 3,563 in the first half of 2025, an increase of 1,552, or 43.2%). 98 criminal proceedings were transferred to other investigative bodies (compared to 140 in the first half of 2025, a decrease of 42, or 30%). 

During the reporting period, the total damage caused within criminal proceedings, the preliminary investigation of which was completed, amounted to 10 billion 205 million 685 thousand AMD. Of this amount, 3 billion 165 million 49 thousand AMD, or 31%, was recovered at the stage of preliminary investigation. A ban was imposed to property valued 154 million 606 thousand AMD.  

In addition, during 2026, 6 billion 624 million 467 thousand AMD was recovered from the property damage caused within ongoing criminal proceedings. A ban was imposed to monetary assets totaling 141 million 316 thousand AMD within ongoing criminal proceedings. Of this amount, 137 million 316 thousand AMD is held in bank accounts, while 4 million AMD is deposited in the Prosecutor's Office's deposit account.  

Accordingly, during the first half of 2026, a total of 9 billion 789 million 516 thousand AMD was recovered from the property damage caused within both completed and ongoing criminal proceedings. In addition, a ban was imposed to assets and monetary funds with a total value of 295 million 922 thousand AMD.
