In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated with regard to the report on apparent crime received in the RA Investigative Committee from the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs it was found out that on May 31, 2026 the Vice President of the "Armenian Business Council of the Russian Federation" A.G., who arrived in Armenia from Russia, publicly promised via Telegram channel to move Armenian citizens living in Russia to Armenia for free and to take care of all organizational issues related to the move, in order to ensure their participation in the regular NA elections to be held in the Republic of Armenia on June 7.

Based on the mentioned factual data, by the investigator’s decision, A.G. was arrested by the officers of the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs and brought to the investigative body. 

A number of procedural and evidentiary actions are conducted within the criminal proceeding to identify all individuals involved in the criminal scheme and hold them accountable.
