In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on infliction of heavy bodily damage, as well as strong physical pain or mental sufferance to juvenile grandchildren committed by 57 year-old resident of Khashtarak community it was found out that the latter’s 28 year-old daughter also periodically, willfully hit her 5 juvenile children as well as her brother’s 2 juvenile sons with hands, feet, wood and other items causing strong physical pain and mental sufferance.

A new criminal case was initiated according to the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 119 (willfully causing strong pain or bodily or mental sufferance) of RA Criminal Code. A decision was made to combine the mentioned criminal cases and to continue preliminary investigation in one proceeding.  

Within the criminal case 7 juvenile children were found the injured party. Forensic medical examination was commissioned, a number of people were questioned, the relevant subdivision of the RA Police was tasked to take operative-intelligence measures.

On August 20, 2020 28 year-old resident of Khashtarak community was arrested.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
