Ahead of the 17th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, on July 14-15, 2026 a field exercise was held at the “Meridian” Expo Center, based on the scenario "CBRN Emergency Incident during a Major Public Event." Experts from the “Expert Forensic Center of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia” SNPO also participated in the exercise.

According to the pre-approved scenario, under simulated conditions of chemical contamination, the experts of the SNPO, in cooperation with personnel of the Rescue Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducted an examination of the scene.

During the exercise, the existing issues were rectified, and the participants were awarded certificates.
