As a result of large-scale investigative and evidentiary actions conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated in the Department for Investigation of Crimes on Human Trafficking, against Sexual Immunity of Juveniles and Illegal Turnover of Drugs of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee, cases of selling narcotic drugs in particularly large amount within a criminal organization were disclosed. 

Particularly, since 2020 G.A. and other members of the criminal organization had been engaged in selling narcotic drugs in particularly large amount, made role distribution among each other, and planned the criminal actions of each other.

In the course of the preliminary investigation apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that the participants of the criminal organization were engaged in the smuggling of various narcotic drugs in particularly large amount for the purpose of sale. A portion of these drugs was transported through the territory of the Republic of Armenia in transit to foreign countries, while the drugs intended for distribution in Armenia were sold both directly and via the internet. The drugs were placed in hidden stash locations, and after receiving payment through various methods, the participants provided the buyers with the coordinates of the locations of the narcotic drugs.

By the prosecutor’s decision, public criminal prosecution was initiated against G.A. according to the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 393 and the Part 1 of the Article 319 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was selected as a pretrial measure against him, search was declared. 

G.A. was found and arrested by the RA law enforcement bodies, moved to the RA and presented to the investigative body. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.
