Charges pressed in the case on murder committed in Shengavit

In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of significant circumstances of the armed incident that took place on November 13 at the area of “Lia” beauty salon and caused murder of two persons, were found. Charge was pressed against two persons.
 

It was earlier informed that on November 13, 2016 two persons – residents of Yerevan Gevorg Avetisyan and Mushegh Musheghyan died of firearm injuries they had sustained in the result of shots fired in one of the beauty salons operating in Shengavit administrative district, and one person – Aram Petrosyan was inflicted a firearm injury on the right part of the chest. He is assessed to be in a grave condition. Through inspection of M. Musheghyan’s body bodily injuries inflicted with a cutting-piercing item were also found on the abdomen.
 

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 104, the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. By the instruction of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee from November 14 the preliminary investigation of the criminal case is conducted in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

On the base of the evidence obtained in the framework of the criminal case on November 18 the investigator pressed charge against two persons for killing Mushegh Musheghyan; charge was pressed against Petros Israyelyan according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (murder committed by a group of persons), charge was pressed against Ruben Khachatryan according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-104 of RA Criminal Code (assisting murder committed by a group of persons). On the same day a decision was made to submit a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against them.
 

Active investigatory actions are conducted to find the motive of the armed incident, the frame of those involved and to personalize the actions of each of them.
