A criminal case was initiated on false statement about an explosive device in the administrative building of the RA National Assembly preliminary investigation of which is conducted in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

On early morning of September 2, 2017 a call was received in 911 service informing that there was an explosive device in the administrative building of the National Assembly located at 19 Baghramyan. In the result of necessary searching work the call was not confirmed and no explosive device was found in the building.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Article 259 of RA Criminal Code. In the result of investigatory and operative-searching actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case the phone number with which the phone call had been made was found. Pursuant to initial data, the phone number is used by a resident of Yerevan who has been interrogated.

The investigator submitted a motion to court to receive the decryptions of incoming and outgoing calls of the mentioned phone number from 1 to 3 September, 2017.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
