ՀՀIn the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding investigated in General Department for Investigation of Crimes against the State, Fundamentals of the Constitutional Order and Public Security of the RA Investigative Committee, apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that E.M., while serving as the commander of Military Unit N of the RA Ministry of Defense, holding the rank of Colonel, and not having authorization to access the relevant classified information constituting a state secret, induced R.J., the secrecy regime officer of Military Unit N of the RA Ministry of Defense, who was authorized to access information constituting a state secret, to disclose information containing a state secret. Thereafter, he disclosed the mentioned information containing a state secret, which he had unlawfully obtained.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against E.M. according to the Part 1 of the Article 426 and the Part 1 of the Article 46-427 of RA Criminal Code, and against R.J. according to the Part 1 of the Article 427 of RA Criminal Code. 

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding E.M. and R.J. were arrested, a motion to apply detention as a pretrial measure against them was submitted to court.
