Investigative and procedural actions are conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of infliction of heavy and medium-gravity damage to the health of two residents of Yeghegnadzor community.

On February 11, 2023 at 23:40 a report was received from “Yeghegnadzor” medical center informing that 33 year-old resident of Yeghegnadzor with “cut-pierced wound on the upper third of the left thigh” and the latter’s 32 year-old relative with “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the abdomen” were taken to the mentioned medical center.

A criminal proceeding was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 166 and the Part 1 of the Article 167 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of operative-intelligence measures taken during preliminary investigation the crime scene was found out through inspection of which blood-like traces were found, a number of circumstances of the case were also found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of the same community, born in 1985.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation, on February, 2023 a row erupted in the grocery shop located in Mikoyan Street of Yeghegnadzor town between 38 year-old man having committed the alleged crime and 32 year-old man after which they, each with their friends and relatives, left for the deserted area located to the right from the 126^th km of Yerevan-Meghri interstate road. During the argument that took place at the mentioned area 38 year-old man stabbed with a cutting –piercing item and caused bodily injuries to 32 and 33 year-old residents of Yeghegnadzor community then drove away in the car of “Lexus” make.

During preliminary investigation confiscations were conducted, forensic medical expertises were commissioned, assignments were given to the inquest body to find the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime, as well as the cutting-piercing item, which is the crime instrument, and bring them to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
