On September 9, within the framework of the official visit to the People’s Republic of China and during the 2026 World Public Security Cooperation Forum, Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Poghosyan met with INTERPOL Secretary General Valdecy Urquiza.

The parties discussed issues related to strengthening the joint fight against transnational crime, as well as enhancing the effectiveness of processes for locating and extraditing individuals wanted internationally.

Particular attention was paid to modern opportunities for the rapid and secure exchange of information between the two institutions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a number of agreements were reached on expanding further cooperation and deepening legal collaboration.
