According to the report on apparent crime received in the RA Investigative Committee on June 5, 2026, the head of Gyumri community of Shirak region, V.Gh., together with other individuals, in 2025, through meetings with various individuals in the Republic of Armenia and recruiting supporters, apparently carried out preparatory actions aimed at usurping the power of the Republic of Armenia in other ways not provided for by the RA Constitution, however, due to circumstances beyond their control, they were unable to begin the execution of the objective aspect of the crime included in the intent.

With regard to the report, a criminal proceeding was initiated in General Department for Investigation of Crimes against the State, Fundamentals of the Constitutional Order and Public Security of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1of the Article 43-419 of RA Criminal Code. 

Within the framework of the criminal proceeding measures are taken to identify everyone involved in the apparent crime, as well as to find out the mechanisms of committing the crime and to give criminal and legal assessment to their committals.
