In the result of investigatory and operative-searching measures taken in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee woman’s murder committed by her husband was revealed. The suspect was found and arrested.

It was earlier informed that on May 11, 2018 at about 14:30 a call was received informing that on the same day at 12:30 in one of the houses located in Tavush region husband, born in 1965, inflicted his wife, the resident of the same region, born in 1969, M. Begyan, bodily injuries incompatible with life with a sharp cutting item and fled. The 49 year-old woman died of the bodily injuries she had sustained.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Berd Investigative Division of Tavush Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. Inspection of the scene was conducted, samples were taken, numerous people were questioned.

In the result of investigatory and operative-searching measures of great volume a number of circumstances significant for the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is the victim’s husband.

The latter was found on May 12, 2018 at about 10:00 by the officers of the appropriate subdivisions of the Police. 53 year-old man, seeing the police officers, injured himself with a knife. As a result, he was taken to medical center and was operated. According to the doctor’s conclusion the man’s health is estimated to be severe.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to find all circumstances of the case.
