As it was already informed, as a result of investigative actions conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated in General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee, over 100 cases of giving and taking electoral bribe were disclosed. 

Particularly, apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that "Strong Armenia" MP candidate A.E., in prior agreement with a group of individuals, paid electoral bribes of 100.000-500.000 AMD to more than 100 voters in Artashat community on the condition that they vote for "Strong Armenia" alliance in the regular elections of the RA National Assembly to be held on June 7, 2026. In some cases, the mentioned voters, acting as part of a group with other voters, with prior agreement received election bribes in various amounts of money.

In the course of the preliminary investigation, by the prosecutor’s decision, public criminal prosecution was initiated against “Strong Armenia" MP candidate A.E. according to the Part 2 of the Article 219 and the Point 3 of the Part 3 of the Article 296 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him.
