On November 24, 2015 at about 20:40 a call was received informing that shots had been heard at 14, Vardanants, there was a man’s body.

The investigatory-operative group headed by the investigator of the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts immediately left for the site.

It was found that at the house 14, Vardanants Str. in still unclear circumstances the person having committed the apparent crime, with the intend of willful deprivation of life fired at Hovhannes Atanyan born in 1983. As a result, the latter died at the scene.

On November 24, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee pursuant to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.

Inspection of the site was conducted, forensic medical examination was commissioned.

All the necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find the circumstances, the motive of the case, as well as to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.
