As a result of operative-intelligence measures taken jointly with the officers of the RA National Security Service and the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs in the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, one person was arrested on the basis of a reasonable suspicion that he directly committed the criminal act of illegally smuggling narcotic drugs into the RA territory.

As a result of a search of the cabin of the truck in his possession, a particularly large quantity -14.2 kg of narcotic drug “Marijuana” was discovered.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding is ongoing.
