Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the incident involving advocates was completed in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against 3 people.

The incident took place on April 27, 2017 at about 14:30 in one of the offices located at 2 Arshakunyats Avenue, Yerevan. Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, a row on personal matters erupted among the members of the RA Chamber of Advocates. During the quarrel the advocates hit different parts of their bodies inflicting bodily damages.

On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding charge was pressed against three people – A. Soghomonyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code, S. Babayan and A. Harutyunyan according to the Article 117 of RA Criminal Code.  

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
