Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on the road traffic accident that occurred on April 10, 2026, on Gyumri-Armavir highway, resulting in the deaths of six people, was completed in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. 

In the course of the preliminary investigation factual data were obtained on the allegation that the driver lost control of the vehicle, entered the lane of oncoming traffic, and collided with another vehicle, resulting in the death of 6 people.

By the supervising prosecutor’s decision, public criminal prosecution was initiated against K.A. according to the Part 3 of the Article 342 of RA Criminal Code.

He was detained. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was referred to the supervising prosecutor.
