Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on murder of R.S.’s father was completed in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee. 

In the course of the preliminary investigation apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that on December 31, 2025 in the yard of the house 44, Komitas Avenue, an unknown person fired shots from various firearms towards R.S., the driver of the car of “Toyota” make, and fled. As a result, the latter was taken to hospital where he died of the firearm injuries he had sustained. 

As a result of large-scale procedural and evidentiary actions conducted, as well as operative-intelligence measures taken within the framework of the criminal proceeding, it was found out that R.S.’s murder had been committed by convicted A.S. with the help of A.Kh. 

On the base of the motion submitted by the investigator, public criminal prosecution was initiated by the prosecutor against A.S. according to the Part 1 of the Article 155, the Part 1 of the Article 335 and the Part 1 of the Article 264 of RA Criminal Code, against A.Kh. – according to the Part 1 of the Article 46-155 of RA Criminal Code.
 
Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against A.S., detention order was issued for A.Kh., and search was declared against him.

The criminal proceeding with respect to A.S. with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.
