In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding conducted in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee, factual data were obtained on the allegation that H.M., acting in prior agreement and as part of a group with his brother-in-law H.S., taking advantage of circumstances that livestock herders, the minor A.P. and his father Y.P. allegedly owed them 40-60 thousand AMD, as well as the fact that the minor had an apparent mental illness, during the period from August 8 to September 4, 2025, subjected A.P. to human trafficking in the form of forced labor. Through negligence, this resulted in serious consequences, causing him severe psychological suffering and emotional distress.

As a result of investigative and procedural actions the persons having committed the alleged crime were identified, and decisions were made to initiate public criminal prosecution against them according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 189 of RA Criminal Code.

Home detention was applied as a pretrial measure against one of them, absence ban - against the other.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was referred to the supervising prosecutor.
