Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding regarding domestic violence committed by husband against wife was completed in General Department on Special Assignments of the RA Investigative Committee. 

In the course of the preliminary investigation factual data were obtained on the allegation that during the argument over domestic matters in October, 2021  husband  hit his wife with an elbow on various parts of her body, struck her head against the wall causing physical pain, then at a knife point threatened her. 

The husband repeated the same act in July, 2024.

In addition, the husband taking hard that his wife had actually separated from him, with the intention of discrediting her in the eyes of her relatives, via the WhatsApp mobile application on his phone displayed and sent her naked photographs. 
  
Furthermore, between August 14 and November 2024, the husband stalked his wife by repeatedly engaging her in unwanted communication through various applications associated with the mobile phone numbers he used and via email, regularly directing insults and threats at her and her relatives.

By the supervising prosecutor’s decision, public criminal prosecution was initiated against husband according to the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 194, the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 195, the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 196.1, the Point 5 of the Part 3 of the Article 204 of RA Criminal Code. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was referred to the supervising prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
