Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding regarding multiple criminal offenses allegedly committed by individuals holding the highest status in the criminal hierarchy and those associated with them was completed in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee. 

Particularly, on the base of the evidence obtained as a result of large-scale procedural actions conducted, as well as operative-intelligence measures taken within the framework of the criminal proceeding, a motion was submitted to the prosecutor to initiate public criminal prosecution against 15 individuals for murder attempt, murder preparation, banditry by a group of people with prior agreement, thefts from apartments, illegal sale of firearm, spoiling somebody else’s property in large amount through arson,  keeping narcotic drugs in large amount for the purpose of sale, kidnapping by a group of people with prior agreement, hooliganism using a weapon. The motion was sufficed. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against 9 out of 15 individuals, and alternative pretrial measures were applied against the others. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
