In the result of investigative and other procedural actions conducted in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of murder attempt committed in a way dangerous for many people’s life at the parking lot of the cemetery “Tokhmakh” of Yerevan were found out.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, 37 year-old resident of Yerevan, reaching prior agreement with 31 year-old fellow-citizen and a group of people on punishing 27 year-old man and his friends for making offensive notes about his brother and the latter’s girl-friend on the appropriate page of “Instagram” social network, on January 13, 2021 between 14:00 and 14:40, at the parking lot of the mentioned cemetery, with a firearm of “AK-47” model procured and kept by him illegally, fired shots towards the above-mentioned people in the cars of “Mercedes G” and “Mercedes GLE” make creating dangerous situation for other people gathered there.

At the same time 37 year-old man instructed his accomplices to do their best to stop the above-mentioned cars. The latters fired shots towards the car of “Mercedes GLE” make spoiling it. In the meantime, in order to stop 27 year-old man and his friends’ escape from the site 31 year-old man willfully hit the car of “Mercedes GLE” make with a car of “VAZ 21099” make. However the crime was not completed under unforeseen circumstances as 27 year-old man and his friends managed to escape.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 37 year-old man according to the Points 1, 6, 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him. Charge was pressed against 31 year-old man according to the Points 1, 6 and 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code. Mortgage was used as a pretrial measure against him.

The part on them was separated in a separate proceeding, preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
