Necessary investigatory actions are conducted in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find circumstances of hooliganism with weapon committed in one of the cafes in Vanadzor town on July 30, 2017.

On July 30, 2017 a call was received informing that on the same day at about 02:00 shots were fired at the cafe operating in «Sayat-Nova» park in Vanadzor.

During preparation of materials on the base of the call it was found that in the cafe operating in «Sayat-Nova» park of Vanadzor the 45 year-old man fired numerous shots from rifle of «AKM» type which was combined with threats to use violence against people who were at the mentioned cafe.

On July 30 a criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 and the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. An investigatory group was formed.

On the same day the 45 year-old man was arrested. Through the latter's search the mentioned rifle with a bullet-box and 20 bullets was found.

Inspection of the site was conducted during which 18 capsules, 3 balls, 4 bullets and an empty cartridge box were found. Forensic medical, forensic ballistic examinations were commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
