A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts on stabbing which took place in Mashtots Avenue on August 7.

On August 7, 2015 at about 19:30 a row erupted in front of the house 2, Mashtots Avenue, Yerevan during which the resident Grigor Grigoryan was inflicted grave bodily damage with a cutting-piercing object.

According to data of preliminary investigation, G. Khachatryan argued with G. Grigoryan for scolding him and his friend. During the row he stabbed at Grigoryan’s chest with a knife and willfully inflicted him grave bodily damages, after which he tried to escape. However, he was caught at the scene by the police officers and was apprehended.

On 08.08.2015 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

The knife which was the tool of the crime was confiscated through the inspection of the scene.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is under way.
