On November 3, 2026, Artur Poghosyan, the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee presented the 2026 budget allocations of the Investigative Committee at the joint session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committees.

Arthur Poghosyan noted that, as in 2026, one main program will also be implemented in 2027 within the framework of the budgetary process. The mentioned program envisages six measures for the coming year, one more than in 2026. The newly added measure is aimed at improving the technical capacity of the Investigative Committee.

The expenditure commitment for the single main program to be implemented by the Investigative Committee, “Investigative Services of the RA”, amounts to 19.754 billion AMD which has increased by 549 million AMD compared to 19.205 billion AMD in 2026. The increase is primarily attributable to the addition of the aforementioned measure.

At the joint session of the Standing Committees of the National Assembly Artur Poghosyan presented the measures to be implemented within the framework of the program “Investigative Services of the RA”. 

1․ Under the 2027 budget allocations 18.336 billion AMD (compared to 17.743 billion AMD in 2026) has been allocated for the measure “Conduct of Criminal Proceedings.”
2. 16.147 million AMD - 520 trainees (compared to 22.4 million AMD - 730 trainees in 2026) has been allocated for the measure “Organization of Training and Preparation.”
3. 319.3 million AMD (compared to 318.1 million AMD in 2026) has been allocated for the measure “Reserve Fund of the RA Investigative Committee”.
4. 721.8 million AMD (the same amount as in 2026) has been allocated for the measure “Provision of Expert Services”.
5․ 114.8 million AMD (was not allocated in 2026) has been allocated for the measure “Improving the Technical Equipment of the RA Investigative Committee”.
6.․ 245.6 million AMD (compared to 400 million AMD in 2026) has been allocated for the measure “Improvement of the Building Conditions of the RA Investigative Committee.”
