In the result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, as well as necessary measures taken jointly with the employees of the RA Police murder attempt apparently committed the day before against 36 year-old man was disclosed.

Pursuant to initial data, on February 10, 2022 at 17:25 a call was received from a medical center informing that on the same day 36 year-old resident of Yerevan with cut-pierced injuries was taken to the medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of urgent measures a number of circumstances of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1992, the knife which was the instrument of crime, was also found.

During preliminary investigation inspection of the scene was conducted during which blood-like traces were found, samples were taken, the clothes the injured and the person having committed the alleged crime were wearing at the moment of the accident were confiscated, forensic medical examination was commissioned.

In the result of operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was found. He was arrested on suspicion of committing murder attempt against 36 year-old man and was questioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
