In the course of preliminary investigation of the part separated from the criminal proceeding investigated in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee the person, who had committed murder in Merdzavan, was detained.

In the course of preliminary investigation of the separated part of the criminal proceeding it was found out that A.Gh. illegally kept a rifle with at least 7 bullets, from which he fired shots towards two persons involved in the brawl that took place in Merdzavan, murdering G.O. and attempting to murder S.B..

In the same period A.Gh. committed hooliganism with a group of people using weapon, during which he showed disrespect towards public and clear disregard for moral norms, which was manifested by swearing and a blatant disregard for the rules of coexistence.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.Gh. according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 155, the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155, the Part 3 of the Article 297 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against the latter.

The criminal proceeding on A.Gh.’s part with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.

It should be noted that preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding on murder committed in Merdzavan was completed on 14 people’s part and with the approved bill of indictment was sent to court.
