Banditry Committed in Lori Region Disclosed; 2 Persons Detained

In the result of investigative actions, as well as planned and consistent work carried out jointly with the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the course of preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that on March 14, 2025 two persons illegally entered the Vanadzor resident Q.B.’s apartment, kept pistols towards the latter and her minor child, then at pistol point demanded golden jewelry and money. After it Q.B. took the box of jewelry from the bedroom and gave it to them with 7 gold jewels in it.  

In the course of preliminary investigation public criminal prosecution was initiated against T.U. and G.P. according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 46-252 of RA Criminal Code, against G.M. according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 252 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against T.U. and G.P..

Necessary investigative actions are conducted to find G.M. who is at large and apply detention as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

It should be reminded that R.Ye., T.U.’s advocate, had earlier organized a rally in defense of his client, presenting that T.U. was wrongly suspected of committing a banditry.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
