Family Members Materially Motivated a Group of People to Participate in "Strong Armenia" Alliance Gathering

 

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding investigated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, public criminal prosecution was initiated against four members of the family for materially instigating a group of individuals to participate in the "Strong Armenia" alliance gathering.

During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding factual data were obtained on the allegation that A.Kh.,  M.Kh., N.Kh, and K.Kh with the aim of ensuring the participation of as many individuals as possible in the gathering organized by the ‘Strong Armenia’ alliance on April 11, 2026, financially motivated a group of people, including minors, to participate in the rally, promising to pay each participant 10,000 AMD after their attendance. 

Subsequently, on April 11, using a taxi-service car rented by A.Kh., the family members organized the transportation of a group of individuals from the village of Pokr Mantash in the Artik community of Shirak region to Yerevan. After participating in the gathering organized by the “Strong Armenia” party, they returned to Pokr Mantash and received the previously promised 10,000 AMD each for their participation.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.Kh.,  M.Kh., N.Kh, and K.Kh according to the Part 2 of the Article 236 of RA Criminal Code. 

Home detention and absence ban was applied as a pretrial measure against A.Kh., administrative supervision and absence ban – against M.Kh. and N.Kh, and educational supervision – against minor K.Kh..

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
