Investigative and procedural actions are conducted within the criminal proceeding initiated in Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 and the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 195 of the RA Criminal Code to find out all circumstances of murder attempt committed in Argavand community of Ararat province.

Pursuant to initial data, on December 2, 2022 at about 15:20 76 year-old resident of Argavand community hit his 40 year-old son with an axe sleeping on the living-room sofa on the head and left hand fingers causing injuries, among them open penetrating cranial trauma. Then he hit his daughter-in-law with the blunt part of the opposite side of the axe on her head causing bodily injuries.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, forensic medical expertise were commissioned.

76 year-old resident of Argavand community was arrested.
